Dates: Sightseeing starting from 5th September to 12th September 2008; Culture Exchange Programme starting from 12th September 2008 to 12th January 2009;
The Culture Exchange Programme is an on going programme and happens twice a year. The following programme in 2009 will be starting from 25/02/2009 to 25/06/2009, further detail will be available soon. Therefore, anybody who is interested in staying for longer than one term are more than welcome. Please keep your eyes on this page.
Venue of local schools: All schools and universities are located in Changsha city and Xiangtan city in Hunan Province, P.R. China;
Vacancies: 60 people in total;
Terms and Conditions: Anybody who are keen on learning Chinese culture and language, happy to teach English language for the Chinese local school, ready to stay for a term of four months, Good health and mobility.
Culture Exchange Programme: Teaching English in the local school for 16 - 18 hours over 5 days a week during the term (China national holiday, Christmas and New Year's day will have no classes). Studying Chinese language for 8 hours a week with local students as a culture exchange scheme will be arranged by the local school at free of charge.
Payment and allowance: $8,000.00 yuan RMB (equivalent to £530.00) living expenses for the entire stay will be paid in four installments, which is sufficient amount of money to live in China comfortably. A free apartment style accommodation with furniture (basic cooking facility, shower, West style toilet, air-conditioning, TV, fridge-freezer, washing machine, microwave, hairdryer, sofa, desktop computer with internet access, study desk, coffee table, pay phone box or own paid lined phone) and one week sightseeing in China will be covered by the school. At the end of your stay the school will arrange a transport to the local airport for your journey back to Beijing.
Flight ticket, international travel expense and insurance: Please arrange your own flight and travel to the appointed airport - Beijing International airport, P.R. China. We will receive you there and take for a free sightseeing. Once the free sightseeing has been completed we will guarantee everybody to arrive at his/her own local school safely.
Free Sightseeing: The Free Sightseeing will be led by Master Liming Yue and local tour guider in China. It will be starting from 5th September to 12th September 2008 at all inclusive basis with 4-star standard hotel will be provided throughout the journey. Sightseeing includes: Great Wall (Beijing), Shaolin Temple and Tai Chi village visit and taste training (Henan Province), East Lake at Yangzi River (Wuhan city), Zhangjiajie Forest Park with Qigong training, then final destination - Changsha city in Hunan Province. There also will be a great opportunity to train with Master Liming Yue during the trip at free of charge as well. Please contact the Centre for the details of sightseeing itinerary.
Visa and Application Fee: £90.00 for people who lives in the UK.
What documents we needed : Application form with £90.00 of application fee, 4 passport size photography, one photocopy of passport, one reference letter, any highest educational certificate or relevant qualification if appropriate, and a personal CV are required. Procedures: Upon receive your application form and CV we will initialize a distance interview with you to check all criteria needed for the programme and discuss the arrangement for your stay in China. Once you are happy about everything we will sign a contract with you and obtain a valid visa to cover your stay sin China on behalf of you in Chinese Embassy. Finally it is your time to organize your own flight ticket and we will meet you in Beijing International airport on 28th August 2008. (Please note: We keep the rights to cancel the contract if the local school over China has got any problem to supply vacancies prior to your departure, at this circumstance your flight tickets will be refund by the local school in China).

During the Culture Exchange Programme in the past, many people showed interest and requested additional studies such as Chinese acupuncture, massage, calligraphy, painting and martial arts...ect. We will be very happy to arrange those additional programme according to people's request in 2008.
