Following the great success of organizing Wushu Duan Wei Grading for China Wushu Association in Portugal, Spain and China since 2007, Master Liming Yue and Tai Chi Centre have received a lot of experience and built a very strong direct link with China Wushu Association. Therefore, we are going to organize a series of Chinese Wushu Grading seminars to help peple worldwide to receive the official Chinese Wushu Grading from China Wushu Association in 2009. The Grading opens to all people who practicing any type of Chinese Wushu (Martial Arts).

We will alos host a Chinese Wushu Grading in August 2009 in China during our China Trip Summer 2009 and there will be another one in Nobember 2009 in Ireland. The China Wushu Association will send official Examiners to present the even and the grading certificate will be given on the event.

Who can apply for Grading? The grading is open to public and all Martial Artists who practice Chinese Wushu (Nanquan-South Fist, Chalifar, Laugar, Xingyi, Bagua, Shaolin Kung Fu, Changquan, any style of Tai Chi and Wingchun...etc;). Please keep eyes on our web site for further details.

How to sign up? Please book your grading online now!

Theory Test (理论考试): Please do not worry about the theory test, as long you attend the theory session on the day. You will be fine with the Theory Test. We only test you about very basic Chinese Wushu theory and questions will be included during the theory session. The most important thing is the hand and weapon form performancing exams. That is a skill you need to present at your grading assessment.


Grading Seminars Itinerary 2009 (时间表)

8th/9th August 2009 in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China

Saturday, 8th: (周六)

1:00pm to 3:00pm:Registration, theory session and Assessment for thoery (1点-3点理论课, 理论考试)

3:00pm to 5:00pm:Training and preparation for the grading (下午3点-5点集训)

Sunday, 9th: (周日)

11:00am to 3:00pm:Preparation and assessment for grading (上午11点-3点集训, 考核)

4:00pm to 5:00pm: Present Chinese Wushu Duan Wei Grading certificate by China Wushu Association and Closing ceremony.


Fees and booking:

Registration fee, Training and Assessment fee(报名费, 训练及考核费): £125.00 per person (must be paid in advance online and it is non-refundable).

Photos(照片): Two passport size photos are needed upon your arrival or sent by email along with your application form in advance.

Grading fee (证书费): the grading fee is payable to the China Wushu Association directly and in accordance with the level of grading you achieved on the day of the grading. The fee details are listed below.

1st grade Duan Wei £50.00

2nd grade Duan Wei £80.00

3rd grade Duan Wei £100.00

4th grade Duan Wei £120.00

5th grade Duan Wei £150.00

6th grade Duan Wei £ 180.00

7th grade Duan Wei £230.00

8th grade Duan Wei £280.00

9th grade Duan Wei £320.00

Requirement of the Wushu Grading (段位标准):

The requirements of grading listed below are just a reference according to the stardard of grading system of China Wushu Association. The grading you are going to receive will be assessed and decided by China Wushu Association on the day.

1st grade Duan Wei:
Tai Chi Eleven Short Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms.

2nd grade Duan Wei:
Tai Chi 18 Short Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms.

3rd grade Duan Wei:
Any one of Tai Chi 38 Form, 42 Form, 56 Form and half of any Long Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms, plus one weapon form for at least 1 minute and 20 seconds.

4th grade Duan Wei: (5 years of teaching experience is required)
Any one of Tai Chi 38 Form, 42 Form, 56 Form and Long Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms, plus one weapon form for at least 1 minute and 20 seconds.

5th grade Duan Wei: (5 years of teaching experience is required)
Any one of Tai Chi Long Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms, plus one weapon form for at least 1 minute and 20 seconds.

6th grade Duan Wei: (5 years of teaching experience is required)
Any one of Tai Chi Long Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms, plus one weapon form for at least 1 minute and 20 seconds.
Note: The level of the skills must be equivalent to the National or International Wushu competition championship in China.

7th grade Duan Wei: (10 years of teaching experience is required)
After achieved the 6th grade Duan Wei for 6 years, the appliant who knows the whole series of the style you apply for, can apply for the 7th grade Duan Wei. The applicant's reputation, publications, contribution to Chinese Wushu will also be taken into account plus presentation skill and question answer on the assessment.

8th grade Duan Wei: (10 years of teaching experience is required)
After achieved the 7th grade Duan Wei for 5 years, the appliant who knows the whole series of the style you apply for, can apply for the 8th grade Duan Wei. The applicant's reputation, publications, contribution to Chinese Wushu will also be taken into account plus presentation skill and question answer on the assessment.

9th grade Duan Wei: (10 years of teaching experience is required)
After achieved the 8th grade Duan Wei for 4 years, the appliant who knows the whole series of the style you apply for, can apply for the 9th grade Duan Wei. The applicant's reputation, publications, contribution to Chinese Wushu will also be taken into account plus presentation skill and question answer on the assessment.
